New City Generals Evaluation Tryouts

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you to a new and enriched travel baseball experience that will be starting for New City residents in the Spring/Summer 2010 baseball season. The New City Baseball Association/New City Generals (NCBA) will be holding its ongoing registration at tryouts and will continue up until the start of our season. Registration will include a $25 non-refundable tryout fee. Our evaluation for tryouts will be held Friday, October 23rd from 4:30pm-6 or from 6pm-7:30 at the Strwatown Little League Fields.

The players will be broken down at each age group, from 7U and UP based on their evaluation. An outside company of professionals have been hired to evaluate the talent level of each child during the tryout process, which will last approximately 90 min per age group. Those teams will be seperated into an A, B and a developmental team.

The A team will consist of the top 13-15 players in each age group. The B team will consist of the balance of players and the developmental team will have the opportunity to attend clinics, one on one training, practices and games.

Games will start with a tournament on Memorial Day Weekend in Spring 2010 and will then proceed to play in a summer league. WE WILL NOT play in a spring league and WILL NOT conflict with Little League games, All-Stars or tournaments. Therefore, giving every child a chance to play in Williamsport! The leagues that we will be joining will have approximately a 30 mile radius of travel and all home games will be played on New City Little League Fields; Zukor and Strawtown.

The NCBA, through the help of The Hardball Training Center (www.hardballny.com) will be offering clinics to their all players, coaches and managers. Our mission is to teach better baseball and give the children of New City the opportunity to enjoy an enhanced baseball experience.

For more information, please check our website at http://www.newcitybaseball.com]www.newcitybaseball.com or email us with any questions or concerns at info@newcitybaseball.com
